Fenders Australia P/L has designed and built a wide range of frontal frames to suit the many different fender systems designed over the years. Below you'll find examples of these various frames showing how they correspond to the overall design and requirements of the fender system.

Murat Naval Pier, Exmouth North &
South Berthing Dolphins 6 x frontal frames -
1m x 2m x .28m 6 x SSP1000H Super
Spool fenders.
This design of frontal frame is known as the ‘box' frame which consists of 3 solid sides (front, left, right) & an open back (with stiffeners) to allow for the evaporation of sea water. |

Esperance Port, Berth I & II
This particular frontal frame design (Octagonal) is
one of our more simple. With only a single 30mm plate
and 50mm UHMW-PE this design lacks the additional weight
of stiffeners and a flange. This reduced weight puts
less strain on the fender element and as a result weight/tension
chains are not needed. This results in a lighter more
cost efficient system. 36 x frontal frames -
1.8m x 1.8m x .08m 36 x SSP1150H Super Spool

Esperance Port, Berth III
The shipping capacity for berth III is significantly
more than berths I & II. Therefore the fender system
had to be increased to suit. This included a larger
fender element - SSP1700H and a heavier frontal frame.
This square frame 2.8m x 2.8m x .3m includes a 30mm
plate, 70mm UHMW-PE, 30mm flange and 170mm vertical
stiffeners. Bringing the overall depth of the frame
to 300mm. |
